A Long and Dangerous Road | Walkthrough Just Cause 3 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
This mission is about protecting a convoy, consisting of three different vehicles, from one point to the other, so that all three of them arrive at the destination in one piece. This mission is just like any escort mission in the game - during your journey you will be attacked and ambushed by the enemy numerous times.
From time to time the whole convoy will stop and you will have to clear the area from the enemy soldiers - as soon as this happens, the convoy will resume its journey. Additionally, during the whole mission you will be constantly harassed by enemy vehicles - you should be especially careful about armored vehicles, which can deal a lot of damage to your allies in a short amount of time. If you have trouble dealing with them, or you're unable to take aim, use your rope to get rid of them - attach one end to the vehicle and the other one to the terrain and watch as the vehicle flies in the opposite direction, or simply explodes from the impact.
About halfway through the journey you will arrive at a bridge to which access is blocked by a closed gate. You can open it by either using your rope (by attaching one side to the gate and the other to the upper part of the mechanism), or by pressing the button on the control panel. The gate will open and the convoy will continue. Your biggest threat are the tanks that start to appear at about 3/4 of the mission - you have to get rid of them as quickly as possible (preferably with a rocket / grenade launcher, or by hijacking them). Tanks can deal astonishing amounts of damage in a very short amount of time.
Your last concern are quite obviously helicopters. Hijack one of them and use it to clear the area off the enemies and to shoot down enemy helicopters. After a few minutes you will arrive at your destination point. You have to clear the area off the enemies and when it's done, approach the truck carrying the EMP device and activate it. It will initiate a series of cutscenes and the mission will be over.
