On this page of our guide to Heavy Rain we have provided a description of Solving the Puzzle scene. During this stage, Norman will use his "magic" glasses to identify the killer's whereabouts.
Important: This chapter will not appear if Norman died in [Mad Jack] scene or in [Water tank]. The described scene is another one during which Norma may die and it will happen if he spends too much time in virtual reality analyzing traces.
This chapter will determine whether Norman will come to [Old Warehouse] scene or not. If you give up or you accuse Blake - you will fail. You will also be forced to give up if you haven't found enough number of leads on the crime scenes: [Crime Scene], [Mad Jack], [Water tank]. It is worth mentioning here that by locating and analyzing all the traces in the above mentioned scenes and in the one described on this website you will win the Nerd trophy.
If you don't succeed (while playing as Norman) to determine the location of the kidnapper, then in the [Killer's Place] Madison can guess the password to the killer's computer and call Norman - this will save him from a bad ending. The only possible endings after failing will be [Resignation] and [Smoking Mirror].
Additional Note - If you have released Ethan in the Under Arrest chapter and forgot to turn off the camera, expect an extra scene where you fight with Blake.
Check all the leads again. Start Select the following: Blue Lagoon Video, Car, Gas Receipts, Gun, "?". Don't accuse Blake, unless you want to see [Resignation] or [Smoking Window] endings. Also analyze the video in more detail and pause it in a frame showing a killer trying to strangle Norman.
Continue your investigation. Go back to the gun (geographical analysis). This will lead you to the answer. Norman will discover where the killer has his warehouse.
Goodbye Lauren
On this page of Heavy Rain's game guide we've prepared a description of Goodbye Lauren scene. This is a very short and interactive stage with Scott and Lauren.
Note: This chapter only appears if you got Lauren out of a sunken car in the Trapped scene. Otherwise, Hold My Hand chapter will start immediately.
This stage does not involve any actions or interactions with any items. You can only watch Scott say goodbye to Lauren. She will ask for the identity of the killer to be revealed and Shelby will promise to share this knowledge with her after all things have been done. This meeting will end with a kiss and you will automatically advance to the next chapter.
Hold My Hand
This page of Heavy Rain's Game Guide contains a description of Hold My Hand chapter. This is the second scene from the past. Final part of it presents the most important elements of game's storyline.
This scene continues the events of the earlier Twins stage. You must try to save the drowning and imprisoned John. To do this, run ahead and turn right behind the fence to your father, sitting next to the trailer.
Any attempt to persuade a drunken man to save his son will fail. Of course, you can't influence this in any way, because you're dealing with a flashback. Go back to John and watch the end of the scene to find out who the twin brother was.
Origami Killer
On this page of Heavy Rain's game guide we've prepared a description of the Origami Killer scene. It is one of the short scenes devoid of interactive moments. Its main goal is to reveal the identity of the title Origami Killer. This scene reveals important parts of the story - spoilers ahead.
This scene does not contain interactive moments and does not allow you to make any decisions. Just throw more items into the fire and watch the memories. Destroyed items will be traces that the killer wants to dispose of one by one. You have collected many of them in the previous chapters of the game.
After completing this chapter, three things can happen:
- You will proceed to the scene Killer's Place (if Madison is still alive).
- You will move on to the Old Warehouse scene (if Norman is still alive and/or if Ethan is not in custody, they must also know the location of the warehouse).
The game will end (the least likely scenario is that Madison and Norman must be dead, Ethan must be in prison, or alternatively Norman and Ethan must have failed to find a warehouse).
