GreedFall: Inventory - why can't I remove an item?

This page of the guide to GreedFall is the solution to potential problems with inventory. The game may not allow you to retrieve weapons or armor from the slot in your inventory. This was done to prevent stripping your character of all armor and weapons.

The game allows you to remove only some items of equipment of the character. After selecting a specific item at the bottom of the screen should appear a button to remove it from the slot on the equipment. After confirming this action, the slot will be free and empty.

You can easily remove the following inventory items:

1. Firearms
2. Headwear
3. Necklaces
4. Mantles

You can't take off other elements of equipment, and the remove button won't appear. The game only allows you to replace such an item with another one from the inventory. It is a form of protection against having no weapons or basic armor elements.

You cannot remove the following items from your inventory:

1. Main weapon
2. Breastplate
3. Gauntlets
4. Boots
