You will get various rewards by defeating opponents of certain factions
There are many different opponents available, not only in terms of fighting style or weapons but also belonging to specific factions. This influence, for example, type of crafting materials obtained. you can check in the crafting menu from which enemies you can get specific materials. It is worth knowing that fighting law enforcement does not provide XP, so avoid it.
Consequences of health loss
If you lose all health during the mission, you will go back to the last checkpoint. If it occurs in the game world - you go to the nearest safe place. In addition, in case of "death", you lose a small amount of scrap and progress (collected clues).
As you gain experience, you earn skill points
You receive XP primarily for completing quests and eliminating enemies - the more difficult they are, the more experience points you get. In addition, a lot of XP is granted by additional activities, challenges, and finding secrets. However, you will not receive XP for fighting law enforcement. The experience level is synchronized with all characters, so you can switch between them freely, without the need to "level up" each one individually. Additionally, each hero has their own skill points pool, so by spending one for a certain character, you don't use up the points of another hero.
You can fight in stealth
You can deal with your opponents stealthily or using your full arsenal. If you prefer doing it quietly, use RR to mark enemies and perform silent takedowns of opponents in order. However, note that ambush takedowns are faster but can create noise and attract other enemies. You can use rolls while sneaking to move faster. Robin is great for playing stealth.
Holding down the hook button, throw a smoke bomb, and get away from enemies - then try to get back to eliminating enemies from hiding again.
Pay attention to the weakness and resistances of your opponents
To diversify the combat in Gotham Knights, enemies have weaknesses and resistances to elements such as acid or fire. If you frequently fight with the same opponents or stronger enemies, it is worth knowing their weak spots. Information about encountered enemies can be found in the Batcomputer in the Database tab -> Profiles.
