Garena Free Fire is a game representing the Battle Royale genre in which the gameplay is no different from the blockbusters of recent years like PUBG. For those less familiar with the genre - and not only-we present a few tips that certainly make it easier to start the game and explain the mechanics the game doesn't mention.

React to sound

When an enemy in your area strikes, his location will be represented on the minimap as a red triangle.

Fans of the Counter Strike series know exactly how important sound is. In the case of Garena Free Fire, this is even more important - all the sounds made by the character, including steps, jumps or falls, as well as the noise accompanying moving around with vehicles, are audible to nearby players. What's more, gun shots, in addition to the sound itself, provide information about the player's position - it is marked on the minimap with a red triangle. Thus try not to make noise and open fire when you know that you are able to kill the enemy and / or quickly escape from the scene.

Note-remember that this works both ways, you must always listen to the action around and look at the mini-map to find the nearest enemies.

Monitor the battlefield

It is worth watching the terrain - it may turn out that there is an enemy nearby who is easy to neutralize.

Given the location of the camera-the TPS view-the game allows for fairly smooth control of the battlefield controling the flanks. It is worth to regularly monitor the battlefield and your surroundings, for example, to see the enemy running past, or surprise the enemy, who was not able to see you. Also use this while jumping from the airplane to estimate how many potential enemies will land in your area.

Remember that the game zone will be systematically reduced

On the map circles of different colors will appear showing the changes taking place on it.

As in most Battle Royale games, the map in Garena Free Fire in the first minutes of the battle will be fully available to all players. Over time, however, it will systematically shrink - first a white circle will appear, which will mean a safe zone. After the time specified on the screen elapses, the entire map area will be restricted to just that under the white circle and the whole process is then repeated. The map is reduced throughout the gameplay until players fight in an area of several dozens of square meters.

Note-being outside the safe zone will result in loss of health points.

Do not run directly to the white circle

When a new, smaller area is marked on the map, do not run directly to it. There are probably a few dozens of seconds left before the actual reduction (the time you see on the screen), so first assess the situation and see if enemies are hiding in the area or if someone will rush into a desperate run to the center. Remember that you can stay on the edge of the white zone all the time and stay safe.

The landing site is a key

At the beginning of the game you are inside the plane along with 49 other players. You will have so some time to calmly think where you are going to land. This is crucial - it will depend on how many players you meet at the beginning of the game and what inventory you get access to. You can land in a densely built-up part of the map, with many buildings in loot. However, there will be more chances of meeting other players, and on the outskirts, with less players (or no opponents at all), but also less equipment. It all depends on whether you want to start fighting right away, or prepare for the battle in peace.

During the flight pay attention to nearby players

When jump out of the plane and choose a place to land, look around, and do not take your eyes off the nearest players. It may turn out that your ideal place will be a landing place for several(dozens) of other people in a few seconds. In such situations, it is worth to quickly choose another place to land and go there - it is better to get to 2-3 small buildings that you can clear yourself than to have more of them, which, however, will need to be shared with half the population of the map.

Avoid red and green areas

Run from the red zone, or hide in a building to survive.

Red zones work on the same principle as those that appear during a game in, for example, PUBG. On the map marked with a small red circle-inside which, after a few seconds a bombardment begins. Being in this area in an open area is likely to end with the death of the character, so it is worth keeping them away, and if you do not have the opportunity to avoid it, then you need to quickly enter any buildings.

To stop taking damage from poison, you need to leave the green zone.

Green zone, in turn, are areas in which gas is released- it penetrates your armor, and depletes your health. It is much less dangerous from the red zone, because death because of this is rather rare, but you can not hide in the building here - to stop taking damage, you have to run out of the green zone.

Avoid patrol drones (orange zone)

It is best to stay away from orange areas.

Another area to watch out for is the area patrolled by an unmanned UAV drone. It is marked orange and moves along with the movement of the said drone. If you find yourself inside it in an open area or inside a poorly concealed cover (for example, by a window or under a canopy without walls), you will be tracked by a drone. For the next few seconds, your position will be visible to all players - because of this, it is necessary to avoid contact with drones.

Note-you can shoot down a UAV drone with your weapon, however it is worth bearing in mind that the explosion accompanying the shots will still give out your position.

Customize your playstyle to fit your inventory

Use your inventory - for example, a sniper or assault rifle will allow you to eliminate the enemy from a great distance.

The most optimal solution is to store weapons for long-range combat and another that will be effective in close combat and at medium range, like an SMG or an Assault Rifle. Not always, however, will you be able to immediately pick up this type of weapon, so it is worth using the equipment in such a way as to maximize its effectiveness. If you have access to a sniper rifle, chase enemies at long distances, and if you have an SMG or shotgun, try to fight at short distances.

Manage inventory content

Space in the backpack is quite limited - you can carry no more than 2 weapons long and one short/special, as well as a certain amount of ammunition, grenades or medicine. Capacity can be increased with the help of backpacks which occur in several versions that differ in capacity. If there is not enough room, remember that you can remove an item from your inventory to be able to pick up something more valuable.

Try to shoot the enemy's head

This is pretty obvious advice, however, just as important while playing Garena Free Fire. Headshots themselves cause more damage (snipers are able to destroy the enemy with one shot), and in addition, most of the enemies will wear armor, which will reduce the damage to the chest. A level 3 helmet that decently protects the head is pretty hard to find, so you should always aim for the opponent's head.

Use grenades

During the game you will collect various items, among which, of course, there are grenades. These appear in several forms-regular, which cause damage to enemies in the affected area, as well as grenades allowing the set up covers, which are great if the enemy catches you in the open. Regularly use grenades to clean the rooms in which the enemy sits, even if he is not killed, then of course he is drawn out, giving you the chance to take him down.

Do not interfere in every fight

If you do not have a certain position, and a good weapon, it is worth refraining from firing at another player.

Shootit at evach enemy you encounter can be tempting - all this is also risky, because with each shot you uncover your position to the nearest enemies. If you are sure that you will be able to defeat the enemy and will be able to quickly hide, then you can easily start shooting-otherwise it is sometimes necessary to refrain from taking action.

Note-if you see multiple enemies shooting at each other, you can engage in combat, or if you don't care about killing and "just" want to collect inventory, wait for them to shoot each other up and kill the remaining ones.

Don't fight in the open if you don't have to,

Fighting in the open is insanely risky-after the shot, your position will be displayed to the nearest enemies, and if you are in an open field, most of them are likely to immediately begin firing at you. If you have such an opportunity, go first to the building or hide behind some environmental cover, and only then start firing.

Be vigilant when entering buildings

There is never a full certainty that no one is sitting in the building-so be vigilant.

Entering buildings in Garena Free Fire is mandatorythere is the biggest share of equipment players have to use. If you decide to clear a building, be on the alert all the time-inside there may be another player who is waiting in some corner with a shotgun and waiting to eliminate you. If you don't care about the time, move inside the building while crouching- then your steps will not make any noise that a potential enemy inside might hear making it difficult for them to eliminate you, and the enemies located behind the building will not be able to easily fire at you through the window.

Find out the layout of the building in which you are going to hide

If you are hiding in a building, it is worth to sit on the top floor, next to the only entrance such as stairs.

While in the initial stages of battle you will stay mostly outside running between different buildings, during the last stage you are bound to desire to hide indoors. It's a good idea to study the entire building - the location of windows and doors the enemy might walk in through, and stairs. This way you minimize the chance of an enemy attacking you by surprise.

Note-if you have the opportunity, always hide on the top floor, which is best accessed by only one staircase. Thanks to this, you will be much safer.

Remember that you are not safe inside the building

Paradoxically, hiding in a building doesn't mean you'll be safe. Opponents who find themselves on the street will be able to fire at you through windows or doors, not to mention the possibility of throwing a grenade under your feet. When being inside the building, it is worth to stay away from these windows and doors - it is better to stand on their edge, and use the camera to look, than to stand like a pillar of salt in the jamb and wait for someone to shoot.

Heal your allies through walls.

In Garena Free Fire you will surely often play with other people in a team, whether in Duo mode or Squad. Allies will be shot down by the enemy and you will need to run up to them and interact with them to revive them. While reviving, your character will stand still for a few seconds and be vulnerable to hostile fire - so, if possible, revive players inside buildings. Also remember that you can do it through a wall - if, for example, an ally is in a building and you're on the other side of the wall, on the street, you'll be able to revive him.

Note-in games it is usually better not to use exploits, that is, vulnerabilities that allow the player to get an advantage not necessarily allowed by the developers. Keep this in mind, because in extreme situations it can end with a ban.

Use fully covered vehicles.

During the game you will encounter a lot of different cars, motorcycles, convertible cars and even jeeps. It is worth, however, to use such a vehicle that is completely built up, offering an excellent cover - a good example would be blue pickups. This is important as inside this car the enemies will not be able to hit you so easily-automatic tracking will not work here, they will shoot without an assistant.
