Garena Free Fire

Garena Free Fire is a third person shooter that focuses on multiplayer experience and represents the popular battle royale sub-genre, known from such games as Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Playerunknown's Battlegrounds. The game also offers attractive visuals (for a mobile game). The game was created and published by Garena International. The game was released in a free-to-play model with optional microtransactions.

Mechanics

Garena Free Fire is a classic battle royale shooter. Up to 50 people take part in every ten-minute match. Before the game starts, the participants choose their heroes - each character has its own story, but also a special ability, which gives him or her some kind of advantage.

Then all players are dropped with parachutes on a large island (there are several different locations in the game), with the possibility of limited control and adjustment of the landing location). The fighters are divided into four-person teams. The task of each team is to eliminate the others. Voice Chat helps in communication.

In combat, players can use equipment, which is scattered in chests all over the island - it is mainly a variety of weapons (both melee and firearms). Importantly, in some places one can find more powerful items that offer an advantage over opponents - they are specially marked, so it is not easy to reach them (they attract the attention of all interested parties). Players can also use vehicles to move more efficiently around the battlefield.

The game ends when there is only one team left on the map. In addition, the map gradually shrinks to force players to constantly move and make it easier for them to hit each other.

Game modes

In Garena Free Fire one can play alone or with others. The game is based upon the multiplayer PvP mode (player vs. player).

Technical aspects

Garena Free Fire offers decent-quality 3D visuals in comparison to other mobile titles. The in-game world is colourful and full of details, just like the models of individual characters (it is worth noting the costumes that come in different colors). The lighting system also makes a good impression.
