Character development | Garena Free Fire Garena Free Fire guide, tips
Last update: 18 November 2019
As with most of today's games (especially free-to-play games) - Garena Free Fire allows players to develop their characters. Advancement to the next level allows you to unlock new game modes and mechanics, which is necessary to fully enjoy the production. In this chapter we describe the character's development and its impact on various elements of the game.
Character development - The basics
Character development may not be the best term to use here, as character's advancement is connected with progress of entire player's account. By default, the player starts his adventure in Garena Free Fire on level one. For every match played, regardless of your score or achievements, you will receive a certain amount of experience points. The final amount of experience depends on the results of a single game - how many players you have managed to kill, what was your final ranking position and whether you won the whole match.
The experience points gained fill up the account's progress bar. Once the bar gets full, the character will advance to a higher level, resetting the bar and restarting the process. What's more, with each promotion the player receives a pack of items - they can utility items which you may use on the battlefield, additional gold or temporary cosmetic items. It is worth noting that there is no way to lose experience points - even if you die within a few seconds of a match, you will still receive a small amount of experience points.
Tips
When thinking about character development, consider the following tips:
- The account level does not define which items the player will have access to. All weapons, items and armor are available to everyone, regardless of their level.
- The account level is associated with the availability of some in-game mechanics. For example, matches in Ranked Games mode are available from level 10 (level 5 if you connect your account with a social media account such as VK.com or Facebook). Level 15 is required to send an item as a gift to another player.
- The amount of gained experience points is increased by 20% in Ranked Game mode. The character development is therefore faster, but the battles are also more difficult because they attract more experienced players.
- The development of your account can be accelerated with the help of various boosters. These are often received as part of daily logins and activities, or you can buy them in the in-game store (for real cash). They provide a 50% / 100% experience boost.
