The Day Before

The Day Before is a survival MMO with an open world. The game was developed by Fntastic studio, which has in its portfolio multiplayer shooter Dead Dozen, and it was published by MyTona.

Plot

The Day Before takes us on a journey to a post-apocalyptic world devastated by a mysterious disease that turns people into bloodthirsty monsters. Those who managed to survive try to unite in colonies or travel through the area, every day fighting for survival and competing with each other for basic goods. During the game we play as one of the survivors, who seeks answers to questions about the state of the world and takes part in its slow reconstruction.

Mechanics

In The Day Before the action was shown from the third person perspective (TPP). The developers gave us a vast territory at our disposal, where we can find a big city, wild backwoods or a military post. We travel the world on foot or by car; the second one is complicated by the fact that cars need petrol to work, which is a limited resource.

During the exploration we have to be constantly on guard, because at any time we can come across hostile players. If you get into a fight with them, the sound of gunfire can attract the attention of hordes of the living dead, and defeating them is not an easy matter because of their speed, ferocity and numbers. In addition, wounds can cause your character to simply bleed out, so it is always a good idea to have bandages with you.

Speaking of useful equipment - during the game the gathering of supplies plays an important role; at the protagonist's disposal there are all kinds of weapons (including firearms, such as pistols and shotguns), clothing, and food. Surplus goods or unnecessary items can be sold in the survivors' colonies, and the money gained in this way can be used to buy more necessary things.

Game modes

While you can play The Day Before solo, wandering through this dangerous world alone doesn't seem like a good idea. For this reason, it's a better option to team up with other players and explore the post-apocalyptic ruins together.

Technical aspects

The Day Before boasts high quality graphics. Both detailed locations and models deserve attention.
