A dark fantasy cRPG developed by debuting studio Red Hook. The story is set in a dark, medieval-like universe. While exploring ruins of an old castle and its dungeons, you face off against forces of darkness that overwhelmed the land because of the reckless actions of its previous sovereign. As you delve into the depths, you discover the dark history of a family who brought the evil upon the world. The gameplay focuses on dungeon crawling - dungeons filled with traps and crawling with monsters that need to be dealt with during turn-based combat sequences. An original idea is the sanity indicator of your heroes. Each team member has different personality and reacts differently to what is happening around him/her. Therefore, while playing you should keep an eye on their well being and fear levels, alleviating their stress by drinking alcohol or brawling, if needed.

Traditionally for the genre, individual characters represent different classes and skills. Game mechanics refers to classics such as Dungeon Master, Ultima Underworld or Eye of the Beholder. In the game we move by jumps, always turning at an angle of 90 degrees.

A unique mix of a classic dungeon crawler and a dynamic, two-dimensional shooter from the debuting American studio, Dodge Roll. We play as a hero seeking for the legendary weapon that can change the past of a distant planet. To achieve his goal, he must explore the eponymous ancient temple where many dangers and surprises await him. Featuring a top-down view, the game tasks us with exploration of randomly generated levels of the temple. We come across numerous enemies and bosses, as well various shops and friendly characters that will help us in our journey. The game’s combat system is based on classic twin-stick shooters, allowing us to use environmental objects as weapons in addition to an already vast selection of guns and gadgets.

The titular Morta is a mountain guarded by many generations of the Bergson family. When a mysterious power defiles the source of life within the mountain, turning local creatures into bloodthirsty monsters, we must set on journey as subsequent members of the family to gather seeds of life and stop the spread of chaos. Gameplay in Children of Morta focuses on exploring procedurally generated levels, collecting items and arcade battles against monsters. This is complemented by a typical character progression system and equipment, with the addition of alchemy and crafting. Despite its old-school formula, the game stands out with its rich, multi-threaded plot and difficult moral choices that affect the story.

Considered the spiritual successor to the classic Ultima Underworld, Underworld Ascendant is a first-person cRPG developed by OtherSide Entertainment, a team led by Paul Neurath - the co-creator of Ultima. The game is set in the Stygian Abyss, a place known among the fans of the series - an underground world inhabited by three races that fight for power. Assuming the role of a character described by one of the three available classes, the player picks one side of the conflict in order to experience an epic adventure in a world filled with underground towns, mazes, temples, huge cavern systems, as well as dense forests. The game is played from the first-person view; as for combat, the game utilizes a real-time system which involves use of traditional weapons and spells. Apart from individual skills of one's character, in order to succeed, one also has to pay attention to their mobility, reflexes, and the ability to take advantage of the shape of terrain. Shiren The Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate was originally released in 2010 for Nintendo DS only in Japan, while its enhanced edition, Shiren the Wanderer 5 Plus was released in 2015. You play as a quiet wandering warrior named Shiren, accompanied by a talkative ferret called Koppa. The protagonist climb the enormous Tower of Fortune, at the top of which lives a deity capable of changing the fate of every mortal. The locations are randomly generated, and the turn-based gameplay focuses on combat and upgrading Shiren's statistics. Death in the game is final; when you die, your experience is brought down to zero, your equipment is lost, and new maps with new enemies are generated. Additionally, the game features occasional puzzles to solve and a day-and-night cycle, which makes your sight range smaller as darkness falls.

The add-on utilizes the gameplay mechanics from the core game — you complete a team of heroes and set out to explore the eponymous Darkest Dungeon. Your goal is to find enormous riches, with which you can expand a shabby hamlet, also serving as your base. Like in the original Darkest Dungeon game, the characters of The Crimson Court suffer from typical human ailments — some of them may go berserk, while others may panic when surrounded by darkness. The game places a strong focus on blood, which is a theme connecting the items you find and your enemies. The expansion also marks the first appearance of vampires, creatures with a unique set of characteristics and abilities.

A brutal, dynamic action game set in a fantasy world. It was developed by DrinkBox - a studio popular for such games as Mutant Blobs Attack or Guacamelee. The player assumes the role of a female warrior who realizes that she has lost her left arm. Traversing a land full of magic, fantasy civilizations and ancient ruins, the protagonist tries to discover the truth behind the mutilation. The game is played from the first person perspective and the player fights subsequent enemies mainly, making use of an unusual combat system based on gestures. A key part is played by chopping off extremities of enemies, which can be later assembled to the protagonist's body making her more effective in combat and granting access to new fighting techniques. The game stands out with a minimalistic interface and an original graphic style. The latter is filled with sharp lines and very bright colors.

Tower of Time is an RPG set in a fantasy realm that stands on the brink of destruction. The player assumes the role of a warrior, who, along with a party, decides to explore a mysterious tower that may hold a key to stopping the apocalypse. Gameplay mechanics in Tower of Time mostly rely on exploration of the game world, completing missions, fighting foes, and developing your heroes. Characters represent different classes and have a variety of attacks and special skills at their disposal. Besides, many of them can have impact on their environment. Combat is observed from top-down perspective and played in real time, but it’s possible to briefly slow down time so that you can give orders to your heroes. Throughout the campaign you traverse the 13 floors of the tower, which amounts to 20-30 hours of gameplay. In between missions, you regularly visit a local town in order to regain strength and replenish supplies and equipment. Some buildings in the town can be upgraded, which unlocks new gear and abilities.
