They allow the player e.g. to control civil (digger, crane, bus) or military vehicles (plane, tank, warship). First of all, gameplay requires skillful handling of throttles and performing specific evolutions. The creators took care of the multitude of available helicopters - from typical remote-controlled toys to faithful 1:48 scale copies of machines such as the AH-64 Apache.

The plot of the game is a prequel to the events presented in Star Trek: Undiscovered Country.
