The game is developed by the legendary studio Maxis, led by Will Wright – the man responsible for such cult series as SimCity and The Sims. Mechanics combine elements of many game genres and each stage of your organism’s evolution offers a bit different quests and altered gameplay.

Beetle King is a peculiar game on the verge of simulation and strategy. It's closest to The Sims series, although the user takes care of insects rather than virtual people. Originally, this product was made available only to Japanese players, but 505 Game Street imported it to Western countries after some time.
