Imagine Movie Star belongs to an immensely popular Ubisoft game series designed mainly for girls aged 8-12. The games in the series let you pursue various careers – fashion designer, babysitter, veterinarian, teacher, and so on. Now you can see how it is to be a Hollywood star.
Imagine Movie Star presents various aspects of life of a famous person. You get invited to exclusive parties, make friends and date with movie actors, wear designer clothes, visit nightclubs and pose for pictures. Entertainment is one thing, but you also have to hold your position as a star of A-class movies. From a selection of scripts you should chose the most interesting one and the one fitting your personality. This should be a well thought out choice, if you want to get positive reception.
Your in-game character uses help of stylists, beauticians, hairdressers, and agents, gradually unlocking more skilled specialists. You can even change your manager, if you think the current one is not good enough. Starring in movies is not the only way to get famous – creating new lines of cosmetics and clothes, which in time make it into fashion magazines, also increases the number of your fans. Thus earned money you get to spend on pricy accessories to your house, giving it its own expressive character.
The in-game activities, such as dancing, posing for pictures, designing clothes, or giving interviews, take a form of mini-games, played on the console’s touch screen. If you find these too hard, you can lower the difficulty level (there are 2 of them). The graphics in Imagine Movie Star is rather simple, but very colorful. Another advantage is that you can adjust the appearance of your character (shape of body, color of skin, eyes and hair, hairstyle) as you see fit.
