A series of rhythm games that has been handled by various development studios over the years. In addition to the Harmonix Music Systems and Neversoft Entertainment teams, teams such as Vicarious Visions, Budcat Creations, and FreeStyleGames, among others, took part in the life of the brand. The publisher of the first three installments of the series was RedOctane, while the release of subsequent installments was handled by industry giant Activision.
