Dream Skincare Description
Created by Japanese company Konami, Dream Skincare is another product for the Nintendo DS portable console, which is not a typical video game. It is a multimedia guide for people who care about their skin, beauty and health - a work quite unusually for a manufacturer associated with such series as Pro Evolution Soccer or Metal Gear Solid.
Chizu Saeki, a real health and beauty specialist well known to Japanese teenagers, appears on the NDS screen as an advisor. Gives advice based on user characteristics such as body temperature and hormonal balance. Knowing our current parameters and a specific date, which we set in the electronic calendar (for example wedding day), the program can provide us with daily care instructions in such a way as to achieve the best effect on that great day.
Dream Skincare's visual setting is legible, clear and maintained in a comic convention. There are also short scenes with Mrs. Chizu Saeki on the screen. However, we mainly observe various tables, tutorials and funny drawings. Of course, the developers of the program used the capabilities of the Nintendo DS touch screen, thanks to which it is easy and pleasant to navigate through the menu.
