This title combines arcade space simulation with a demanding strategy game and team cRPG. The action of the game takes place in the fifth millennium, in huge cosmic space. As a new player we start from the rank of a soldier or ordinary citizen and get only one spacecraft. With successive successes (whether political or military) we are getting more and more to the top of our career. From an ordinary soldier, through the commander of the platoon, then an officer, we can even reach the presidential armchair. In the game, individual ranks and skills have a big influence on the whole program. Being e.g. a high-ranking officer, our subordinates have to carry out orders, otherwise they are threatened with a military tribunal or even death. However, not everything has to be carried out on command and with the use of force. An organised group of players can join e.g. in their own countries. In such a country there is a division into ministers, military, economists or politicians, and the community formed in this way can declare wars to other countries, form alliances and play various political games.
The game world is an enormous universe with countless stars with their own solar systems. Individual planets have a precisely modelled terrain, and thanks to the detailed graphics, each of them is unique. In such huge space there are, of course, thousands of artifacts or mysterious treasures. On Blue Materials we can also find raw materials, which after mining are processed into spacecraft, orbital stations, bases, weapons, electronic devices and we use them for research on new technologies. Of course, we are not condemned to live in an organised community, but we can also travel around the universe on our own. The lone life of a paid killer, smuggler or criminal can be an interesting way to live our virtual life.
Graphics of the game is very impressive, the universe is full of various types of asteroids, stars and planets, spacecraft and huge battles with the participation of many spacecraft also look great. Eschaton uses the Immersion Engine, a graphics engine specifically designed for creating a space gaming environment. There is also no objection to the soundtrack.
