An action adventure game to be available on PlayStation 4 and later on also PC. The title was designed by the industry legend and co-creator of the Metal Gear series, Hideo Kojima. The story of Death Stranding focuses on the evolution of human race and on the “connection” motive which redefines the role of failure and death in videogames. American actor Norman Reedus who is well known for his role in The Walking Dead TV series plays the role of the main protagonist of the title. Since the game takes place in XIX and XX century, the technology of the entire society is constantly changing. The game delivers several large open maps located across Siberia, waiting for the player to explore. Moreover, one can complete numerous assignments (e.g. loading and transporting a timber to a specified destination within a predefined time limit) either on his own or via the online cooperative mode with up to three other players. The difficulty of these assignments lies in the fact that the terrain one has to traverse is subjected to real-time deformations – one’s vehicle can easily get stuck in the mud or fall off a cliff. On The Road is a truck driving simulator developed by the German studio Toxtronyx. The game allows the players to travel across more than 1400 kilometers of highways and around 300 kilometers of trunk roads. Players can also visit a dozen or so cities, like Berlin, Hamburg, Dortmund, or Munich. What is interesting, the terrain is based on satellite data. The day/night cycle and variable weather conditions make the game more diverse. Gameplay focuses on doing the most profitable jobs where we have to deliver the assigned cargo to its destination. Mastering the game's hard, realistic driving model is the key to success. Developers of On The Road formed a kind of partnership with MAN. Thanks to that, all of the vehicles we drive in the game are designed with the highest attention to detail. It can be said about the interior of our truck, all kinds of semitrailers we will use, or even the used technology, like the TipMatic gearbox. Sadly, the game's visuals are not as good as one would want them to be. They are mediocre at most.
