Road to the Black Sea is the sixth major add-on to the Euro Truck Simulator 2 by SCS Software. Enlargement focuses on the faithful representation of Romania, Bulgaria and the Turkish Thrace.
Euro Truck Simulator 2: Road to the Black Sea is an add-on to 2012's Euro Truck Simulator 2. Both the base game and the expansion were developed by the SCS Software studio.
Mechanics
Road to the Black Sea is a classic expansion. The production does not introduce any significant changes to the gameplay mechanics and the overall structure Euro Truck Simulator 2. Instead, the authors focused on expanding the game with new content.
Euro Truck Simulator 2: Road to the Black Sea adds to the game the territory of Romania, Bulgaria, and the Turkish region of Thrace. During the game, players ride on routes in Transylvania and part of the Carpathians, as well as on the Black Sea coast. There is no shortage of both big cities and small villages.
In addition to the large variety of locations, the regions also offer many branches of industry with companies interested in players' services. During the game, one can cooperate with agricultural, mining, and logging companies.
Technical aspects
Road to the Black Sea is not an independent add-on, which means one needs the base game Euro Truck Simulator 2 to play. The production offers attractive visuals that faithfully reproduce the real locations. It is worth mentioning that some of the elements of the add-on were made available for free in the form of an ETS2 update.
