Another production from a rich set of various simulators created by the German company UIG Entertainment, in which we sit behind the wheel of a huge 18-wheeled truck and distribute goods and shipments in the United States. The game contains a large set of tractors and trailers, as well as supporting most of the famous steering wheels and gamepads.
American Trucker: The Simulation is a game in which we play the role of the driver of an eighteen-wheeled truck, moving on roads located in the United States. The German studio UIG Entertainment is responsible for creating and releasing this production.
The gameplay takes place in the typical style of this kind of simulators - the player starts playing with one of the weakest tractors available on the market and several thousand dollars in his pocket. By transporting increasingly valuable goods and getting better paid orders, we are gaining money that we can spend both on improving the truck and buying a new model with better performance. All the vehicles included in the game are fictitious machines, created on the basis of real trucks known from the roads of North America.
The game takes place on a map showing the whole territory of the USA - the creators included several dozen of the most important cities of the United States, connecting them with a network of the most famous motorways and expressways. Access to subsequent states and cities is unlocked gradually as the game progresses.
The driving model differs significantly from the production of SCS Software studios, such as Euro Truck Simulator or American Truck Simulator - in this game it is much more arcade, also lack of many important mechanisms that affect the comfort of driving an eighteen-wheeler.
The game's visuals clearly indicate that we are dealing with low-budget production - the design of trucks and trailers has been made on average, and the landscapes, although diverse, threaten the void. The advantage of this production is the use of a system of dynamic weather conditions affecting driving, as well as the day and night cycle. American Trucker: The Simulation also supports most popular steering wheels and gamepads.
