A dynamic, third-person perspective action game, which is the fourth major installment in the hack and slash series by Capcom, mainly associated with SONY consoles. The plot in Devil May Cry 4 concentrates on the adventures of a completely new protagonist – Nero, a member of the Holy Knights. One day he witnesses a slaughter on his brothers carried out by Dante – the character known from the previous parts – and swears to avenge them.

FIFA 09 is the next installment of a series of football simulations, placed next to Pro Evolution Soccer at the forefront of sports games. There is a Canadian EA Sports studio behind the creation of the product, and the title is present on as many as seven platforms.

The continuation of the multiplayer FPS with strategy elements, being a continuation of the legendary Quake’s freeware modification from 1996. After Valve Corporation bought the title, subsequent versions of the game were powered by Half-Life’s engine, while TF 2 utilizes the modern Source engine. To some extent, mechanics resemble those in the original Team Fortress, which means completing subsequent missions, despite the other team's efforts to prevent that.

The sequel to the renowned RTS from 1994, developed by Blizzard Entertainment. Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness once again throws the players into the war-torn world of Azeroth. Although it has been over six years since the memorable defeat of the orcs, the invaders have not given up on their plans and now, with vengeance being their primary ambition, they have reached the borders of the human kingdoms by utilizing a giant armada of heavily armed ships.

A continuation to the 2002's best-selling first-person shooter Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, released by Electronic Arts company. Action of the installment, developed this time by the EA's internal studio, focuses on the US-Japan conflict during the World War II in the Pacific region.

Adventure 09 December 2008

Another installment in the bestselling Prince of Persia series, developed by Ubisoft since 2003. In terms of plot, the game is independent of the previous installments - it tells a completely new story. The protagonist has to face Ahriman - a Persian god of evil and darkness. The prince has to save the mythical Tree of Life by healing subsequent parts of the land poisoned by Ahriman and his allies. The protagonist is accompanied by Elika - daughter of the antagonist.

A 1992 cult shooter game, often called the “forefather” of 3D FPS games. Wolfenstein 3D was developed by the famous studio id Software, also known from such titles as Doom or Quake. You play as William “B.J.” Blazkowicz, an Allied special forces spy, who undertakes dangerous missions on enemy territory. Blazkowicz is sent to Nazi Germany to infiltrate Castle Hollehammer, a secret base where research on creating a super-soldier is conducted.

Set in WWII realities, an multiplayer-focused FPS by Swedish studio DICE – though it includes a single player mode with bots as well. In Battlefield 1942 you take control of soldiers from one of the five countries fighting in the war. The character you control can assume one of five classes – Scout, Assault, Anti-Tank, Medic, and Engineer. The game offers 35 vehicles – starting with armored vehicles and tanks, through fighters and bombers, ending with different kinds of warships.

A sequel to the unusual action game with RPG features, that was developed by Triumph Studios. Similarly to its predecessor, in this game the player assumes the role of an antihero who wants to become a dark lord. However, an evil empire inspired by Roman Empire is standing in his way. The protagonist must conquer various kingdoms in order to eliminate his opponents. In Overlord II the player once more controls not only the main character, but his minions as well.

A sequel to 2009's Need for Speed: Shift, the more realistic spin-off of the arcade racing series. Both games were developed by Slightly Mad Studios. Shift 2: Unleashed brings few changes to the gameplay mechanics of its predecessor. The game utilizes the same driving physics, combining simulation elements with the simplicity of arcade racing. The highly-praised driver seat view is back, allowing the players to experience collisions or shaking to their fullest.

The sequel to the critically acclaimed tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas, the sixth installment in the best-selling series launched in 1998 by Red Storm Entertainment. RPG canceled

Elex 3 is the third installment in a series of RPGs by German studio Piranha Bytes. It is, once again, set in a world combining fantasy with science-fiction, featuring arcade combat, a huge world to explore and a non-linear storyline.

The production is developed by the Romero Games studio, headed by the famous John Romero.

A refreshed and improved version of Age of Empires III, a game from 2005 that was the third installment in the series of best-selling real-time strategy games. The new version was developed by Forgotten Empires, a studio that also created remastered editions of the first and second games in the series. Most of the changes are related to the graphics and interface – they were adapted to modern computers and displays. This enabled the game to support 4K resolution.

The Council is an adventure game comprising of five separate episodes. The action of the game is set on an island, on which members of a secret society of influential people from the second half of 18th century arrive to hold their meetings. During their adventure, the players have to explore various locations, talk to NPCs, make difficult decisions, and solve puzzles using the system of fifteen skills that can be developed throughout the game.

Tunic is an isometric action-adventure game. We play as a anthropoid fox who explores a fantasy land full of treasures and monsters. The game's plot is told mostly through pictures and events as most of the lines are written in unintelligible, fictional language. In Tunic, we explore big, partially open maps, gather items, and fight many various enemies, including powerful bosses. Developers created an arcade combat system that allows us to execute various attacks and dodges.

The plot of Punch Club (also known as Video Hero Super Story) tells a story of a boy whose father was brutally killed. Twenty years later, the hero decides to become the best fighter in the world and find out who was responsible for his father’s death. Apart from fighting, the player needs to take care of the character’s everyday activities.

A cyberpunk action-RPG and sequel to the 2013 Mars: War Logs. The title was created by Spiders, an experienced developer, whose other works include Bound by Flame, Of Orcs and Men, and Faery: Legends of Avalon. The game takes us back to the universe known from the previous game, where technology and magic coexist, and rivaling factions fight over water supplies.

This title is a result of cooperation between the developers from Traveller’s Tales and the Marvel company. Once again, players visit the amazing world of comic superheroes.
