Anyone looking for a good family game to play with their kids should pick up LEGO Marvel's Avengers without delay. It's certainly cheaper than that other LEGO game that came out not too long ago, and with a playtime of 6-10 hours for just the story mode, and perhaps dozens more to obtain 100% completion, it's likely any kids you have will play this for months on end. The story is straight from the movies, and is enjoyable for kids of any age – indeed, fans of the Marvel universe will likely have fun here too. Some technical hiccups and the occasional unclear objective can hamper your progress, but these can all be overcome in a game that exudes a fun-loving attitude throughout.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers is what I expected it to be. It combined TT Games' ability to translate a popular film franchise into a fun and family-friendly experience while also adding some new tricks, such as the stud multiplier and combo attacks. And even though I was quite familiar with the source material, I still couldn't help but to pay close attention to its story as it was delivered in such a unique and fun package.
GamesRadar+: 2.5 / 5 by Susan Arendt
Radio messages from Peggy Carter! Slapstick with Thor and Hulk! Lego Marvel's Avengers should be a delightful romp with beloved heroes, but it's a clunky chore.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers Description
LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is the next installment in a long-standing action-adventure game series, featuring worlds created of LEGO bricks. Traveller’s Tales, the developers of most of the games in the franchise, once again joined forces with Marvel company to invite players into the universe of comic superheroes. The game is a direct sequel to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, announced in early 2015. Just as its predecessor, the game launched on multiple platforms, including PC, PS4 and etc..
Story
Story-wise, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is based on several live action films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Apart from the titular ones, namely Avengers (2012) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), the game also includes plot threads from Thor: The Dark World (2013), Iron Man 3 (2013), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), focusing on their respective protagonists. The events of the game once again revolve around the mysterious artifacts called Infinity Gems, which serve as the linchpin to all Avengers stories.
Gameplay
In terms of gameplay, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers for PC, PS4 and etc. is not much different from the 2013 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, which was a colorful, light-hearted 3D platformer with third-person perspective. Therefore, gameplay boils down to exploration of game levels, solving puzzles, gathering collectibles, and fighting with opponents. LEGO Marvel’s Avengers lets you play as one of the numerous Marvel superheroes featured in the company's comic books and films, including, but not limited to: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Loki, and Hawkeye. Obviously, not all characters are available from the start, but you gradually unlock them as you make progress in the game.
Game modes
Just as in most of the recent LEGO video games, you can complete is solo; however, extra emphasis was put on cooperative gameplay. Here, two players assist each other in combat and when solving puzzles.
Technology
In terms of visuals, Lego Marvel’s Avengers follows its three-year-old predecessor, becoming more cinematic than any previous LEGO game. Thus, the locations themselves are not made of LEGO bricks, with exception of the heroes and a few, selected elements of environment. Of course Traveller’s Tales remembered about the unique sense of humor characteristic for the series, which is evident in numerous situational jokes.
