Mage: The Ascension - Refuge

An adventure storytelling game for mobile devices, created by White Wolf Entertainment and Swedish novelist Karin Tidbeck. Mage the Ascension: Refuge is based on a tabletop role-playing game. The production takes place in today's Sweden, and you play as a woman, who recently learned that she's a mage and gradually discovers her powers, which allow her to shape reality. Unfortunately, enemy factions want to use her powers to conquer the magical society. There are no arcade sequences in the game, which focuses on the plot, shown via text with occasional pictures, and on conversing and making decisions, which affect the story. To succeed, you need to achieve balance between your desire for power and the risk of the so-called Paradox.
Vampire: The Masquerade - We Eat Blood

A narrative adventure game from White Wolf Entertainment’s team, based on the popular tabletop game Vampire The Masquerade. It takes place in alternative reality, known as World of Darkness, where many supernatural beings live besides humans. We play as a young vampire, who only recently started to feel the great hunger and noticed changes in his body. Players will help him cope with this new reality and discover the truth about the supernatural world that surrounds him. Vampire The Masquerade: We Eat Blood focuses on story and the decisions that affect it. What’s unusual is that the game’s interface looks like an operating system of a modern smartphone, through which we discover new plot threads or contact other characters.

A text adventure maintained in the convention of horror science fiction. Players direct the actions of four astronauts sent to the Moon to investigate the source of the disturbing signal that reached Earth in 2021. During the game we get acquainted with the text messages sent by our charges (from time to time enriched with graphics stylized on photographs) and we make decisions that lead us to one of the several endings.

A text-based science-fiction adventure game from SNK Productions, loosely related to the previous games from the 2002’s series of Space Rangers. It tells a story of mysterious threat that can eradicate all living creatures in galaxy. We play as a space pilot that tries to find out the source of this danger and stop it. We travel across many parts of galaxy, completing plot quests. Gameplay doesn’t differ from the genre’s formula: all events, dialogues and even combat take form of text, while the player chooses one of the available choices or answers to progress the plot. Unlike typical gamebooks, however, the Space Rangers: Quest offers attractive visuals.

A simple text adventure game developed by Pixelberry (a studio established by former employees of Electronic Arts) known for creating High School Story and Hollywood U. In Choices: Stories You Play, the player gets to learn diverse stories – in one case, he can be fighting for a lost throne, in another, he can become a private detective trying to catch a murderer. The player can also be a student at a school, where teenagers form life-long relationships, while others are looking for love. The gameplay revolves around reading the text describing what given characters say and making decisions – sometimes, one has to e.g. choose one of the available questions or select who is going to talk next. Player’s actions affect the story. The game is available for free, however, it features an optional microtransaction system. With real money, the player can purchase the in-game currency in the form of diamonds, which can be used to make certain decisions. Additionally, certain episodes require special serial keys.
