Third part of the series of adventure games, the action of which takes place on the screen of a smartphone. In Simulacra 3 we find ourselves in the town of Stonecreek, and our task is to unravel the mystery of mysterious disappearances.

Simulacra 3 is the third installment of the adventure games series launched in 2017, in which we solve puzzles with only a virtual smartphone. It was developed by the authors of the previous parts of the series, the independent studio Kaigan Games.

Plot

Simulacra 3 takes us on a journey to the town of Stonecreek. This once peaceful place has changed beyond recognition; people have begun to disappear without a trace, and mysterious symbols appear in places where they were last seen. Rumors are circulating that behind all the commotion is Beldam - the spirit of a witch, who once already gave trouble to the residents of Stonecreek.

We play the role of an intern working in the editorial office of a local newspaper, who helps the famous Ruby Myers with her journalistic investigation. Having the smartphone of one of the missing - Paul Castillo - at our disposal, we try to find all the clues hidden in it, and - as a result - unravel the mystery that shook the whole of Stonecreek.

Game mechanics

The gameplay in Simulacra 3 takes place entirely on the screen of a virtual smartphone. As was the case in earlier installments of the series, our main sources of information are photos, videos, contact list and text messages, stored in the device's memory. In addition, in the course of the game we make video calls, help Ruby in various ways (for example, by hacking into security systems) and make choices that affect the further course of the investigation, and often determine the life and death of individuals.

Technical aspects

Graphics in Simulacra 3 is mainly made up of the smartphone interface, as well as photos and video footage (imitating recordings or transmissions of our interlocutors saved on the smartphone).
