Eldrum: Red Tide

Eldrum: Red Tide is the second installment in a series of text-based RPGs, started by the game Eldrum: Untold. It was developed by Act None studio.

Plot

Eldrum: Red Tide takes us on a journey to a war-torn fantasy world. The main protagonist of the game is a former soldier who suffered severe wounds on the battlefield. After returning to his homeland, the protagonist discovers that it has been razed to the ground, and those who managed to survive have been forced to fight hard to survive another day. Now the hero must do everything in his power to find his missing siblings.

Game mechanics

The gameplay in Eldrum: Red Tide is reminiscent of narrative RPGs. We are primarily engaged in reading textual descriptions of places and situations in which the protagonist finds himself, conducting conversations with encountered characters and making choices that affect the further course of the protagonist's adventures and influence how they will end. In addition, we often come face to face with enemies, with whom we fight turn-based battles. As we progress, we develop the character and acquire more powerful equipment.

Technical aspects

Graphics in Eldrum: Red Tide is made primarily of 2D illustrations presenting the protagonist, his interlocutors and opponents, as well as the locations he visits. The game has a number of accessibility-related options to adapt it to the needs of the blind and visually impaired.
