Wanderlust Travel Stories

Wanderlust: Travel Stories is a text adventure in the convention of an interactive travel journal. The game was developed by the independent Polish studio Different Tales and published by Walkabout.

Plot

Wanderlust: Travel Stories consists of four long scenarios and five short stories. The heroes of each of them are travelers who visit various corners of the world. During their journeys around the world, our protégés visit twenty-one countries on six continents, including Bangladesh, Congo, Papua New Guinea and the Faroe Islands.

Mechanics

Wanderlust: Travel Storiesby reading successive fragments of the story, we not only follow the current fate of the characters, but also learn about their current reflections and their past. In addition, during the game we often make decisions that affect the fate of individual characters. It is worth paying attention to the level of protagonists' fatigue and the condition of their wallets, as well as remembering that the choices we make affect their well-being.

Technical aspects

Wanderlust: Travel Stories features simple visuals. The stories are enriched with photographs, illustrations and animations presenting the places on the map and the circumstances in which our charges are at a given moment. It is worth mentioning separately the rich sound layer and the fact that the dialogue lines in the game consists of more than three hundred thousand words.
