The game's development was partially funded by a grant from the Danish government. The story tells about a young boy who must stop the forces of evil that are trying to take over the world by experimenting on humans. The gameplay mechanics are similar to classic platformer games.

The game enables the player to participate in the titular battle as a supporter of one of the sides of the conflict. The player can lead a three-person team of men, elves, dwarves or orcs. Each race features various advantages and disadvantages. However, this has little meaning on the battlefield as the combat mechanics are always similar (the only exception is the elves who are using bows).
