Eador. Masters of the Broken World Description
Masters of the Broken World is a turn-based strategy game that combines three layers of gameplay - global, strategic and tactical. Your task is to unite the fragmented fantasy world. The game was created by a Russian developer Snowbird Game Studios.
The game's story is closely related to its title, since it takes place in a world that was broken into many fragments scattered throughout the galaxy. Each of its fragments is governed by a different ruler, and the player’s goal is to play as one of them and defeat the rivals to unite all the lands.
The gameplay in Masters of the Broken World is made up of three layers. The first one is the global view showing the universe and the fragments of the destroyed planet. Here you select fragments of the world that you are going to conquer next and add to your territories. Prior to the invasion you should look through the characteristics of a particular fragment of the planet, as each of them offers different bonuses, such as raw materials and new technologies.
Once you select a fragment of the world, you get transferred to a strategic mode, whose main feature is a map of provinces. Similarly as in Heroes of Might & Magic series, you have a city under your command. It is divided into several districts (including military and economic), where you create new buildings and recruit troops and heroes. Then you move your units around the map attacking or negotiating with encountered characters and independent settlements, so to develop your realm to the extent that you are able to beat the opposing king.
You get to the last, tactical mode, during battles. It is reminiscent of Heroes of Might & Magic or Disciples, and it is played out in turns. The terrain plays an important role during skirmishes - archers will be shooting better from a hill, while hiding in the forest will provide a bonus to defense against arrows. Heroes also play an active role in combat, you can move them around the battlefield and attack the opponents. You should, however, have an eye on them as the heroes may be killed in a skirmish.
In the game there is a lot of races typical of fantasy genre, including, but not limited to: humans, orcs, hobbits, elves, and goblins. Heroes represent four different classes: warrior, rogue, commander, and mage. Also an important role plays karma, or reputation, that depends on whether your actions are righteous or guided by iniquitous motives.
The game has visuals that are pleasing to the eye. The developers spent a lot of time to refine such details as the characters portraits or the appearance the cities you develop.

The game again takes us to the world known from the former parts of the series, a realm torn to pieces that are scattered around the galaxy, and your objective is to unite it under your reign. Gameplay in Eador. Imperium makes use of elements from the original title and introduces a number of new ones, making the game overall more attractive. The title offers the full contents of the base version and a new scenario which features Shard – an unknown winter world.
