Rayman 2: The Great Escape is a continuation of Michelangel's 1995 console platformer. This time the title character has to deal with mechanical pirates who have mastered the peaceful Land of Dreams. The player's task is to help Rayman regain his lost power and free his friends from the invaders' hands. The game was produced by Ubisoft and uses a 3D graphic engine.

Rayman and his friends, Globox and Murfy, have to face the army of Hoodlums. As you play, you explore new, colorful locations, from beautiful, magical places to ruined areas inhabited by hostile creatures. Visually, the game looks better than the second installment — the textures and animations have been improved.

We choose both environmental parts (pipes, brick etc.) and enemies. All of it is very simple and requires only the touchpad to operate.

The title was developed by two people – Joar Lisberg Jakobsson was the lead programmer and the author of the idea of the game while the music was composed by James Primate. The game takes place in a hostile post-industrial realm filled with complicated machinery. The environment is constantly plagued by downpours and the animals that live in it are forced to hide from the rain in a hibernated state.
