Rayman 2: The Great Escape is the second installment in the Rayman series created by Michel Ancel. The sequel introduces fully-3D graphics and completely new skills for the protagonist.
Fearsome pirates invaded the world of Rayman in order to capture his friends and sell them to the intergalactic circus. Rayman has been imprisoned and stripped of his powers. The protagonist manages to escape, however, and has to go through a number of dangerous missions to get rid of the invaders and free all of his friends.
During his travels, Rayman slowly regains his powers. He has to find four mysterious masks of Pollux, thanks to which he will beat the army of mechanical pirates. The pirates are not the only enemies, though. There are also two-legged rockets, zombie chickens, piranhas, and fearsome bosses at the end of every level.
