Rock, Paper, Shotgun: by Alec Meer
It's an uneven experience, populated as much by frustration as it is by triumph, but it feels technically solid and is appropriately enormous and secret-filled.
IGN: 7.3 / 10 by Leif Johnson
Might and Magic X: Legacy delivers tough, but fair turn-based fantasy combat that largely works.
PC Invasion: 7 / 10 by Tim McDonald
A bit buggy and a bit uninventive, but a loving, enjoyable tribute to RPGs of olde.

- Exploration and Secrets: The game features a well-designed world with diverse environments and numerous secrets to discover, enhancing the sense of adventure.

The main cons of the game
- Bugs and Performance Issues: The game is plagued by numerous bugs, including graphical glitches, long loading times, and performance drops, which detract from the overall experience.
- Linear Gameplay: The game lacks the open-world feel of its predecessors, being tile-based instead, which limits player movement and exploration.
- Combat Limitations: The turn-based combat system can feel restrictive, with many encounters favoring melee over ranged combat, making some classes, like archers, less effective.
- Weak Story and Lore: The narrative is often described as poor and lacking depth, which may disappoint players looking for a rich storyline.
- Repetitive Audio: The voice acting and music are criticized for being repetitive, with limited audio tracks contributing to a monotonous experience.
The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users
- Quality of Life Improvements: Players noted the absence of modern conveniences found in other RPGs, such as better inventory management and more robust user interface features.
- Open-World Exploration: Many fans miss the freedom of movement and exploration present in earlier titles, feeling that the tile-based system restricts gameplay.
- Character Customization: Some users expressed a desire for more options in character development and skill progression, as the current system can feel limiting.
- Enhanced Story Elements: There are calls for a more engaging and complex storyline, as the current plot is seen as underwhelming compared to previous installments in the series.
Summary
- Overall, while Might & Magic X - Legacy has its strengths, especially for fans of the series, it also suffers from significant flaws that may hinder the enjoyment for new players and long-time fans alike.

Might & Magic X: Legacy Description
Might & Magic X is the tenth installment in the legendary series of RPGs. Nine previous games were developed by the no longer existing studio, New World Computing. After the closure of the studio, Ubisoft acquired the rights to the series, and Limbic Entertainment was contracted to develop the next game.
The game set in a world full of magic, Ashan, which was also the setting for the Heroes of Might & Magic V, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Might & Magic Heroes VI and a number of casual and browser-based games. It is a fantasy world inhabited by both humans and a number of other sentient races. The conflict between angels and demons is the main theme in this installment of the series. After the events of Might & Magic Heroes IV, a team of adventurers arrive at the shores of Sorpigals.
Might & Magic X mechanics are much like those of the predecessors. The developers were particularly inspired by World of Xeen containing the fourth and fifth part of M&M. A team of four moves in an open world divided into squares. Any movement forward, backwards, or sideways moves the team to a neighboring square. This solution is similar to the one used in the old dungeon crawlers in which the character movement was performed by leaps and bounds. Each transition takes time, thanks to what the game was implemented with a day-and-night-cycle system. Time flows differently depending on the place: slower in cities and dungeons, faster during normal exploration of the world.
In case of an enemy encounter the time is divided into turns in which the characters take turns in order to move, attack, cast spells, and so on.
