Ubisoft Recruits to Work on New High-budget Might and Magic
Ubisoft is recruiting to work on a new AAA game from the Might & Magic brand. The company is looking for a candidate to handle the marketing and launch of the project.
New game from the Might & Magic brand is currently taking shape at Ubisoft Shanghai, suggests this job announcement.
The company is looking for a candidate to handle the marketing and launch of a new AAA game representing the Might & Magic brand. The employee's tasks are to include dealing with the positioning of the product in the market, ensuring its marketability and maximizing its business potential.
The first game using this IP was the RPG Might and Magic Book One: The Secret of the Inner Sanctum which was released in 1986.
The series was originally developed by New World Computing; in 1996 the company was bought out by 3DO Company. In 2003, Ubisoft bought IP rights to Might and Magic for $1.3 million, and the last game in the main series - Might and Magic X: Legacy - was released in 2014 on PC.
The brand is also, of course, represented by the iconic Heroes of Might and Magic series (or Might & Magic: Heroes, as it is now known), the latest installment of which remains number VII, from 2015. Will the discussed project represent the RPG or strategic face of the universe? Or will it turn out to be something completely different? Time will tell.
