Ubisoft Pulls Might and Magic 10 From Sale to Avoid Solving a Problem
Ubisoft has pulled Might and Magic 10: Legacy from sale. All because of the problem preventing the users from playing the game, which appeared two weeks ago.
- Ubisoft has pulled Might & Magic 10: Legacy from sale;
- This is due to a problem that occurred after the servers responsible for securing the game were shut down;
- The company still has not fixed the resulting error.
Fans of Might & Magic 10: Legacy have been in big trouble lately. Two weeks ago, Ubisoft shut down the game's servers responsible for DRM protection. This led to a situation in which owners of legal copies of the game are unable to run it, because they are considered pirates. Players quickly found a way to bypass the security, but they expected that in time Ubisoft will fix its mistake.
However, the French publisher is not going to meet the expectations. The company has not restarted the servers, nor has it fixed the bug with an update. Instead Might & Magic 10: Legacy was simply pulled from sale. Such solution cetainly ensures that no new players encounter this specific problem. Those who have already bought the game, however, have been left to fend for themselves.
Ubisoft's approach sparked a significant reaction among frustrated fans, who showed their dissatisfaction by review bombing the game on Steam. Among the posted comments there were many allegations that the company prefers to sweep the problem under the rug rather than face it. For now, however, the anger of disappointed players has not affected the publisher's stance. Still no actions have been announced to solve the problem.
