Acquiring Fans / Credits / Experience Points Forza Horizon 3 Guide

Last update: 17 October 2016

This chapter contains some basic tips: how to quickly acquire credits, how to get new fans to expand the festival, how to acquire experience points, and what is the difference between the driver's experience and reward points.

Credits

In 1v1 desert races you can go cross-country to reach the finish line. - Acquiring Fans / Credits / Experience Points - Gameplay basics - Forza Horizon 3 Game Guide
In 1v1 desert races you can go cross-country to reach the finish line.

The quickest and most available way to acquire credits is 1v1 racing. However, we are not talking about normal races, but these from Bounty Drivatars bookmark in Festival Boss menu. Choosing a rival from that list, you can even receive up to 50 thousand, practically without breaking a sweat. Choose a desert race - these challenges only count the finish line, without having to cross through checkpoints - cross-country driving is the best approach for a sure win. The Bounty Drivatars are easily recognized - they will be marked with an enemy icon surrounded by a crosshair on the mini-map.

You receive credits for your Drivatar - when you are not playing, your drivatar is highly skilled, and has similar settings to other popular presets, it will often appear in other players' races - you receive credits for each appearance (typically about 300 credits for each race).

Increase the difficulty level - you receive even 100% or more of normal pay, which is the best legal way to gather large amounts of money. Try to join any club as quickly as possible. Once you enroll, you can unlock club achievements that are generously rewarded with credits.

In some way, credits make credits - for each experience level, the driver receives one drawing. You often have a chance to win major credit rewards and cars that can be sold later on an auction. To save some money, avoid buying new cars; try to find them on auctions instead. This way, you can often find an already upgraded car, as the players often sell already customized cars.

It's a good idea to get the Horizon Promo upgrade early in the game. It will give you money for taking photos of unique cars (1000 CR). You can take pictures of more than one car! Additionally, you will receive a bonus for sets of photos. You will receive 10 000 CR for pictures of 20 cars, then the reward will be repeated every 40 cars. Finally, the reward will increase to 15 000 CR for 40 cars.

Experience Points

To begin with, you need be aware that there are two types of experience in the game: driver points that allow you to advance to higher levels and get prestige (and also additional drawings with credits/cars) and reward points - for which upgrades are bought. The latter are less important, but many upgrades help you in acquiring experience. First, go to the desert, acquire some of these points, and buy a few upgrades (the desert, with numerous bushes, hills, and the ability to freely drift, will allow you to get even 2 reward points with one perfect combination). The combinations of bush cutting, jumps, and drifts will quickly net large amounts of points. Additionally, drive a fast car to a highway and drive the wrong lane. To quickly fill the point multiplier, don't stop on one action, but mix different ones. The point multiplier can be increased up to 6 by buying the Skill Legend upgrade in the Skills category.

A large amount of driver experience can be acquired while racing outside the city. Numerous hills in the desert, or drifts on gravel turns provide a large boost to EP. Points acquired during races ARE counted to driver's experience. Set out to do a clean race - you can receive up to 1000 additional EP for a crash-free run. The difficulty level doesn't have a major influence on the experience gained, but rather on the credit rewards. The driver experience can be also acquired during free riders - by destroying the experience tables (their locations are marked on The Secrets Map found in this guide). Some of unique tables give up to 20 and 50 thousand EP in one hit - however, they are very hard to find, mostly because of the location (building roofs most of the time). You can score some real points on Wish Lists when the driver experience is in play. In the further parts of the game, you'll also unlock Championships - there, 100 or more thousands of fans are guaranteed for winning a championship.

Fans

Fans can be found on shows (new plot stages) and challenges - drifts, radars, and dangerous jumps are rewarded with major amounts of fans. The problem is that getting 3 stars in a challenge is not that easy... You don't receive points for some tasks, e.g. certain Wish List challenges, or fight with rivals on a track, instead of driving demonstrations / championships. With larger number of fans, you can expand festivals and take part in special Shows - it's the main indicator of story progress.
