Forza Horizon 3 Description
Forza Horizon 3 for PC and XONE is the third installment in the Forza Horizon series – an arcade spin-off of the popular motorsports simulator series developed for the Xbox consoles.
Plot
Similar to the previous two installments, Forza Horizon 3 focuses on a racing festival. This time however, the player not only is a racer, but they also co-organize the events. This means the player has a voice when it comes to what music is played during the competitions, they can choose the place and time when races begin, etc. The player's goal is to make the festival more and more popular, so it becomes the largest event of this kind in the world.
Mechanics
In Forza Horizon 3 for PC and XONE, the driving physics combine an arcade experience with a small portion of simulation. The game is set in Australia and the map itself is twice as big as it was in the second installment. However, the game stands out mainly with diversity of cars available. The creators delivered 350 vehicles in total, and those represent different car classes. The game features true speed demons, such as Lamborghini Centenario, off-road cars (B.J. Baldwin's Trophy Truck for example) and buggies, such as Penhall Choll. What is important, each car can be modified visually by changing the colors, rims, applying different vinyls, etc.
The player takes part in hundreds of races, but those can be additionally altered by introducing one's own rules, car limitations, changing the weather conditions and more. Events created in such a way can be saved and shared with others. Furthermore, the Bucket Lists return in this installment – these are a form of special challenges, but they can be modified, saved and shared as well.
The player competes against the AI and Drivatars – the drivers reflecting the skills of one's in-game friends. The player can hire Drivatars – depending on their level, the prizes to be won change. All of this is complemented by an auction house, where one can buy or sell their vinyls, cars and more.
Game modes
Although Forza Horizon 3 allows for solo gameplay, the experience is far deeper in case of the multiplayer mode, for the game's social module is the largest so far in the series. Apart from said opportunity to create events and share them with others, one can invite their in-game friends to the multiplayer mode at any time. Additionally, the creators offered an opportunity to complete the story campaign in the co-op mode. What is more, the game supports cross-platform multiplayer between users of Xbox One and PCs (Windows 10).
Technical aspects
Forza Horizon 3 for PC and XONE is one of the best looking racing games released so far. The game features car models created with great precision, including the interiors, because the cockpit view was also included. Furthermore, lighting effects and the game world itself are both impressive – the virtual Australia is filled with different locations, such as caves or beaches.

Forza Horizon Series
The open-world racing game series, which was born in 2012 as a spin-off of the series Forza Motorsport. Initially, it remained somewhat in the shadow of its older sister, but after a few years it came to the forefront and became one of the most important exclusive titles in Microsoft's catalog. Suffice it to say that Forza Horizon 5 broke the record for the number of players playing simultaneously on the day of release in the publisher's games (more than 4.5 million people). Hand in hand with the excellent sales go the very high ratings received in reviews by subsequent parts of the series. Overseeing the brand since its inception is the British studio Playground Games, in cooperation with the Turn 10 Studios team (authors of Forza Motorsport).
