The third mission in the tutorial region, Heavy Shipping, presents the player with the task of pulling a truck out of the mud and then towing it safely back to base. After a series of fairly simple expeditions, the rescue mission significantly increases the difficulty level. On this page, you will learn how to pull your first vehicle out of the mud.
How to prepare for pulling a truck?
The goal of your mission is to tow the Step 310 truck - a large and heavy vehicle. To accomplish this, you will need to use an equally powerful machine. Therefore, we recommend choosing the same truck that you should have access to from the early stages of the game. Before setting out, check out the anchors and the jack, which will help you get out of trouble.
The road to the mission's objective is not too long. Carefully drive down the rocky hill until you reach a small pool in a gorge. You will notice a trapped vehicle there.
How to pull a truck out of the mud?
Before attempting to tow, the game will suggest you stand directly in front of the Step 310. We advise against this strategy. Instead, position yourself on dry ground, to the left of the sunken vehicle. Turn your back to it.
Activate the winch. Attach the rope to the back of your vehicle and install its ends on the front of the buried machine. What is very important - use the option of starting the engine of the vehicle you are pulling out! The working engine will help you to free the Step.
Slowly and methodically pull the truck out of the mud. If necessary, adjust the angle at which you operate the winch. Over time, you should be able to free the vehicle.
How to tow a vehicle?
Once you manage to pull the truck onto dry land, you can slowly start towing it to the base. Reducing tire pressure and locking the differential will be helpful here. Overcoming subsequent obstacles, keep in mind the vehicle you are towing. Too sharp turns may cause the towed Step to tip over. If necessary, temporarily detach the towed truck, adjust the position and tow it again.
Remember to make the winch cable loose enough. If it's too short, it will limit your movements and hinder progress.
