The Last Oricru. The worst games of 2022
Table of Contents
Not all Gothic is gold - this is what we could say about The Last Oricru, a game inspired by this European cult-classic from German Piranha Bytes and Dark Souls . And although the assumptions of the project were ambitious, and the creators from the Czech GoldKnights studio managed to keep some of their commitments (a decent storyline, actual choices and interesting graphics), in the end the game turned out quite pale.
All this because of the clunky controls (if they are a problem for you, don't buy the game yet - the controls cannot be modified as of now), poor optimization, ubiquitous bugs, and lacking graphics (especially when looking at them from a close-up). We have to admit - game boasts really nice landscapes, but these are only backgrounds, while the textures load with a delay or ... not at all. Oh, and I have forgotten a major disadvantage - terrible voice actors and their mediocore performance. One of the examples - a hero named Silver whose swashbuckling-vagabond appearance is mixed with a squeaky voice of a high school student still undergoing his mutation. This one may be a nail in the coffin - imagine a 50 hour playthrough with this voice acting.
