[1:52] Hello Neighbor 2 launch trailer
[0:26] Hello Neighbor 2 trailer #4
Shacknews: 6 / 10 by Donovan Erskine
Hello Neighbor 2 feels more like an updated version of the first game. It’s considerably larger than the first game, and the expansion of the AI technology to additional characters is a welcomed decision. Outside of that, there is very little separating the two games. Hello Neighbor 2 still has a clunky UI, unsatisfying controls, and problems being consistent with its own rules. Where there was a real opportunity to take the franchise to the next level, this sequel just feels like more of the same.
Completexbox: 60 / 100 by Jordan Campbell
Sadly I was left a little disappointed with Hello Neighbor 2 and if you’re left wondering whether it’s moved on much from the first title, then the answer is not a great deal. Yes, it is bigger with a little bit more on the plate, but the lack of any direction or indication of where to go frustrated me.
WayTooManyGames: 5 / 10 by Kyle Nicol
This shift back to the franchise’s original premise makes it a much more compelling game, albeit one that is steeped in a lot of the same issues. Despite being a huge improvement, it’s unfortunate Hello Neighbor 2 can’t find its footing, as it stumbles from one encounter to another without any real cohesion.
Hello Neighbor 2 Description
Hello Neighbor 2 is an FPP stealth game kept in a horror convention. The game belongs to a popular series developed by Eerie Guest studio (formerly known as Dynamic Pixels), which includes, apart from games, books, animated film and others. TinyBuild Games is responsible for releasing the game.
Plot
Hello Neighbor 2 is a direct continuation of events known from the first part of the cycle. Mr. Peterson, the title neighbor, went missing in mysterious circumstances. The player is the character investigating this disappearance. However, a mysterious humanoid creature with a bird's head stands in his way.
Mechanics
Hello Neighbor 2 offers an open world including the town of Raven Brooks and its close surroundings, which can be freely explored - including, according to the tradition of the series, the home of an antagonist, which we have to break into. An important element of game mechanics is the advanced artificial intelligence of our enemy. As we travel through the open world, and as we try to overcome the security features of the home, the creature learns our habits and adapts its behavior to them. To achieve the goal, artificial intelligence must be deceived. For this purpose, you should avoid traps (they appear on the most common paths), hide and distract your enemy - you can use different baits (e.g. water boiling in the kettle), which will attract the creature and eliminate the risk of detection. Hello Neighbor 2 allows you to collect additional equipment to facilitate the task, such as cameras to track the creature from a safe distance.
Technical aspects
Hello Neighbor 2 offers a colourful three-dimensional graphic design. The game also has a more advanced AI than the first part of the cycle.
