Saints Row. The worst games of 2022
Table of Contents
The creators of the Saints Row 2022 reboot apparently want to show that the only option to experience their GTA parody without remorse is to... wait for the game to be made available for free on Epic Games Store. The list of accusations is long - from the quality of the game at the premiere (awful optimization and bugs), through flat heroes whose motivations and problems do not raise a brow, and concluding with awful gunplay.
Admittedly, there are some moments (such as a side mission concerning LARPs), but these are mere particles - the game doesn't exactly shine with good ideas. One thing that is especially troublesome is the ubiquitous censorship. The characters talk in homie gibberish, but it is a far cry from the memorable, juicy, iconoclastic humour of the previous installments. Moreover, the new Saints Row lost the series' trademark touch - thanks to strong political correctness, sharper dialogue or suggestive cut-scenes do not appear.
