Crusader Kings 3

A bit of RPG, a bit of strategy; a little difficult, and a bit ridiculous - Crusader Kings 3 is a game for those, who love the series.

  1. Release date: September 1, 2020
  2. Platform: PC Windows
  3. Our rating: 8.5 / 10

Crusader Kings III is supposed to be a strategy game, but it's really a royal dynasty simulator. It's the most amazing simulator of life at the royal court, with all the intrigues and aberrations of that period. Betrayals, cannibalism, mental illness, plagues, torture of family members – whatever sick fantasy you have, it will happen in Crusader Kings III. And then, there's diplomacy and war, which is all international politics and macroeconomics, necessary to manage your own kingdom.

Despite a few changes and a complex tutorial, the new Crusader Kings still has a very high entry threshold and definitely is not a game for everyone. However, veterans remain impressed with the changes made to various aspects of gameplay and graphics, although the complex screen interface could have been done a little better. Such shortcomings, however, should not prevent anyone from spending literally hundreds of hours bringing their dynasty to flourish and their kingdom to become an international empire. If only Paradox' policy of releasing DLC was better...

All in all, we have a very good, well-developed production that can't be boring, and which will be the reference point for the entire genre. At the same time, Crusader Kings III needs even more content and a number of tweaks to the UI in order to be considered a complete game.
