What is Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury?
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is nothing more than an enhanced and improved version of the 2013 platformer game. Relative to the original, in Super Mario 3D World, the graphics and interface have been refined, most importantly getting a new mode and mechanics. As part of Bowser's Fury, we'll get to know the adventures of Mario and Bowser Jr. as they face the rampaging Bowser again. This time, the villain will be possessed by dark forces that render him even more powerful.
Why is Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury worth checking out?
What we have here is a fairly garden-variety platformer adventure, in which the most famous plumber faces his arch-nemesis, Bowser. Apart from Mario, we will play as Luigi, Toad and Princess Peach. In addition, there's also Bowser Jr. Each character has their own skills, which we will use in skillful fights or getting to the next platforms. Switching characters will also come in handy when solving environmental puzzles.
Our expectations
Nintendo should figure out their titling. SM3DW+BF (a wonderful acronym; a SEO nightmare) confused me with New Super Mario Bros U. Deluxe, and for a long time I was convinced that it was a port of a mundane 2.5D platformer from Wii U. So, I was quite surprised when I saw the recent trailer, presenting the game that's much closer to Super Mario Odyssey than the retro version of the adventures. Not only great looking, but featuring mad moments like a duel between the giant Bowser and the not-so-giant feline Mario. That's something you don't want to miss.
