Platinum Games is a group of experienced game designers, led by the true virtuosos of electronic entertainment, who took their first steps in Capcom years ago. Atsushi Inaba and Hideki Kamiya are among the most recognizable Japanese game developers and their joint venture has been releasing great action games for many years. Regardless if they're original brands or licensed games (for example, Transformers Devastation). Also, the developers had an unsuccessful episode of cooperation with Microsoft – for which they've created the Scalebound project. However, this project was cancelled in early 2017. The company was saved from financial collapse some time later by the excellent Nier: Automata, which was created under supervision of the famous Yoko Taro.

Babylon's Fall fits perfectly into this developer's portfolio. The fast pace of action, the sophisticated combat system and the exploration of fantasy world look interesting and probably will maintain a high level of quality which is pretty typical in all games designed by this developer. The plot will probably become a secondary feature, but at least it's worth mentioning about an angry goddess who, enraged by the lack of faith of her (former) followers, decides to punish her votaries with various types of monsters and beasts. Only the mysterious Nomads can resist her will.
