Sable is a game prepared by a tiny, two-person studio! Despite limited resources, the authors of this title managed to create an extremely original exploration adventure game set in the realities of post-apocalyptic science fiction, using the Unity engine. As if in spite of the genre, which recently veers more towards silence than any textual layer, the main character says quite a lot.
Importantly, she not only conducts conversations with the characters she meets, but also reflects on what she sees and shares her emotions with the player. Contrary to appearances, a lot can happen here – it all depends on how quickly we explore the vast world and whether we allow the protagonist to delve into the explanation of the mysteries surrounding her, or choose a free journey.
The creators used unusual aesthetic solutions in the game – they transferred cartoon graphics, usually associated with isometric views, into three dimensions. It's extremely pleasant to look at the contours changing depending on the angle of view or simply to check the play around the physics of objects. Don't be fooled by the apparent simplicity – Shedworks squeezed as much out of Unity as possible!
