Jill of the Jungle: The Complete Trilogy

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Genre: platform game
  2. Release date: 1 January 1992
  3. Developer: Epic Games
  4. Available at: GOG

That’s gonna be a good one. If you’re familiar with B movies revolving around blond heroines resembling Red Sonia wearing one-piece armors - you’re at the right place. Jill of the Jungle follows the same formula. A beauty straight from the jungle saves the land, the world, and the prince. When she picks up the keys, your speakers will moan like a glam metal vocalist right after a solo.

And what about the game? It’s a pleasant 3-part platform game straight from DOS. Players run, jump, defeat opponents using a knife or a boomerang and occasionally morph into a bird to get over certain obstacles. Is a little big adventure from the joyful 90s. An adventures you will go through with a slim and strong heroine. If you try hard enough, you can also find a kind of a plot here. What’s there not to like?

HOW WELL DID IT AGE?

Like many other DOS platform games. It is not as smooth and dynamic as titles from the contemporary consoles, nonetheless, it is still fun to play.
