In-tempo Passing
Effective passing involves delivering the ball to the player while maintaining fluidity of the game, without having to slow down the action. If the pass is inaccurate, there is a risk of missing an opportunity for an offensive action or the opponent receiving the ball.
Ground Pass
Flat passes (X/A) are the bread and butter when playing the ball both from the penalty area, in the middle of the field, and even near the opponent's penalty area. In EA FC 24, always direct short ground passes towards players who are close to the controlled player to avoid losing the ball to the opponent. Also make sure that you look towards the recipient and make the pass with appropriate precision.
You can also use a stronger version of the flat pass (R1 X/RB A), which can be useful when you want to pass the ball over longer distances. However, over short distances, the pass may be too strong and bounce off the recipient's leg.
Lob Pass
Lob passes (2X/2A) are ideal when you want to avoid an opponent making an interception or tackle, or when you want to pass the ball to another player who can shoot from the air without receiving it.
Long ground or overhead pass
Long passes in EA FC 24 are useful for moving the game to the other side of the pitch or when there is a chance to trigger a fast player, either a winger or a striker. They can be performed on the ground or in the air. Before making such a pass, assess the situation on the pitch and decide whether the ball has a chance to reach the recipient. The greater the distance between the player initiating the pass and the receiver, the greater the risk of losing the ball.
Run-in Pass
The running pass in EA Sports FC 24 involves making quick, short passes between players who are close to each other (L1 X/LB A). Thanks to this technique, you can freely play the ball in a small space and avoid the opponent's pressure.
It should be remembered that the player starting the play always runs slightly forward, signaling his intentions by moving his hand and pointing in the direction, waiting for the pass. It is important not to overdo it with the power of such passes so that the ball does not bounce off the recipient's leg.
Perpendicular ground and overhead pass
A perpendicular pass on the ground (Triangle/Y) to a player running behind the defenders can be an effective way to break the opponent's defensive line and create a goal situation. This is a very effective technique in EA FC 24, especially when you have fast strikers or wingers on your team. However, it is worth controlling the power of the pass so that the player has a chance of reaching it.
A perpendicular overhead pass (L1 Triangle/LB Y) opens the possibility of playing the ball and bypassing one or even two of the opponent's defensive formations often creating an opportunity to shoot at goal. It is important not to overdo it with the power.
In EA FC 24, you can also perform a flat overhead pass (L1 R1 Triangle/RB LB Y) to pass the ball at the height of the player's head. This is useful, e.g. during quick counterattacks.
Signature Pass, Heel Pass
Finesse passing (L2 X/LT A) is a sophisticated way of playing the ball, during which players can showcase their impressive technical skills. You can expect, among others: heel passes, back passes with a turn, and other spectacular plays.
