- If you are new to CrossFire, remember to log on every day to complete all of the introductory missions for which you receive GP and even weapons. Moreover, logging on daily is rewarded with additional bonuses, such as increased rate of gaining GP for matches.
- Remember to complete daily missions that reward you with experience and GP, and let you obtain additional gear for progress in monthly missions.
- Ducking before firing will help you compensate for recoil.
- There are several reticle patterns and colors to choose from. You can change it in game options, also during the game. Spend some time on finding one that suits you best.
- Communication is the key to success, so try to make friends with the team.
- If you do not use voice chat within the team, you can always use in-game commands and chat.
- remember that you run the fastest while holding the knife.
- If possible, use headphones for playing. This way, you will be able to react to the slightest noise , e.g. when the opponent fires accidentally or dashes through a nearby corridor.
- Remember that you can pick up the opponent's weapon.
- During the match, also keep an eye on your teammates and, in case of danger, inform them about the opponent's plans.
- Remember to select appropriate loadout before the game.
- remember about grenades! Before you join Search&Destroy, make sure that you have 3 grenade slots and not one.
- Remember that some modes ban smoke and flash grenades. In such case, make sure that you have frag grenades in the first slot.
- While tossing a grenade, make sure that it does not bounce off an opponent and drop at your feet. This is especially important while attacking with several other players.
- Avoid open spaces. The opponent may be armed with a sniper rifle and wait for such an opportunity.
- Remember to maintain your weapon. It is a good idea to get into habit of repairing it often.
- Before you enter a closed room, check all of its corners. Sometimes, opponents are waiting right behind the door.
- Before you enter an open area, use a flash or a smoke grenade.
- If possible, hide behind a cover while reloading the weapon. You leave yourself exposed while doing it out in the open.
- Always try to shoot after you end your movement. Shooting in movement decreases accuracy.
- If possible, buy a bulletproof vest and a helmet (available in the in-game shop, but for real-life money) to absorb some damage. This way, you extend your survivability.
- If you have found a bomb on the ground, left by the other team, you can lurk in the thickets for someone to come by and pick it up. You will be able then to eliminate the opponent.
- If opponents have managed to plant the bomb and have not yet been eliminated, use a very simple trick. Approach the bomb and start disarming it. Then, stop immediately and take a look around. The opponent is sure to leave the cover as soon as he hears the bomb being disarmed and expose himself to your fire. After you have dealt with the opponent, disarm the bomb.
