Soviets - Advices and informations about fraction | Soviets C&C:RA3 Guide

- Soviets campaign has medium level of difficulty. It is far easier than the Japanese and a bit more difficult than the allied;
- The Soviets put their buildings in the following manner: first - construction site, then money has been spend for gradual increase of the buildings. Fortunately, construction site has as much energy as finished construction, so it's not so easy to destroy, in comparison to Command & Conquer: Generals;
- You can obtain an access to better units by building super-reactor or Battle Lab.
- Sputnik is a vehicle that you can install in almost any spot on the board. Like MCV, you can put buildings in a particular territory. Sputniks are used to set up smaller bases (for example, only dealing with raising ore);
- Although the Soviets have a pretty good land units, many missions in their campaign allows to apply the navy, which operates much more efficiently than Hammer or Apocalypse tanks;
- If you want to use the navy to destroy the enemy, you need to collect following units: submersibles Akula (great fight with other ships), the Bullfrog vehicles (great anti air weapon) and Dreadnought (mighty firepower and has a large range missiles). If you can not build the last of them, excuse yourself to attack from the water;
- Using Stingray boats, it's in my opinion serious mistake. In addition to low price and the possibility of entering the mainland, these ships have not much to offer. They poorly deal with the fight, easy to destroy and are not able to cope with air strike;
- You can also try to attack from the air. Here is the best combination of Twinblade helicopters and MiG fighter (in relation about 5:1). Twinblades are great in destruction of buildings and vehicles, but they are not able to defend itself against flying units. You can use MiG's - they have been designed precisely to fight with other aircraft and helicopters;
- If you know that the enemy has a weak anti air protection, you can send the Kirov airships. These units are fairly slow, but they have powerful bombs and pretty good armor (it's recommended to check defence of your enemy, only strong fire will destroy them);
- Twinblade helicopters are very good scouts because of their speed. Money spent on one suicidal machine sent to the enemy base (with purpose of find out what is he plotting) will never be thrown away into mud;
- Protection of the base should be consist of Tesla Troopers. This structure require a lot of energy, but, instead, they are a pretty good in fight with infantry, vehicles and ships. They are no able to attack air units. To defence, you can use Flak Cannons or quite cheap, effective Bullfrogs (they are only worse armored than stationary weapons). As a last resort, you can use Flak Troopers;
- Conscripts - the basic unit of the Soviet army, require a separate discussion. Those soldiers are badly trained, so they lose completely in the fight against the ally forces (Peacekeepers), or imperial Japanese soldiers. They work quite well when they barricade in the civil building. There are also quite effective when they attacking buildings with Molotov cocktails;
- Soviets can't repair their vehicles. Their shipyards, airports and factories don't have repair devices, in contrast with their equivalents at other fractions. The only way to heal your units is to occupy special buildings (the garage, the hospital, the dry dock), support Grinder Treads, intercept the enemy's factory, the shipyard or the airport and take look after the highest units level - they will fixing automatically.
