Which bus should I choose in Bus Simulator 18? Bus Simulator 18 Guide and Tips
Last update: 05 July 2018
In Bus Simulator 18 after every three levels you unlock new buses. It is worth buying newer models, because each of them gets much cheaper to maintain, despite the fact that every subsequent model is becoming more expensive. These buses do not differ much in the matter of engine or gearbox - this has no effect on the control of a given vehicle. Even if a specified bus model is a bit faster, the stops are so close to each other that such feature is pretty useless.
Mercedes Citaro K
The first bus model available in the game is the Mercedes Citaro K. You will get it at the beginning of the game. There are only 46 seats, so it's a good idea to change it to a larger model as soon as possible. However, you can leave this model and ride it at night or at scarcely used stops.
Setra S 416 LE business
The first bus that you can unlock is the Setra S 416 LE business. It can take more than 50 passengers. It costs about $160,000, so you can afford to buy it right from the start. The bus is bigger and cheaper to maintain, making it more comfortable to use on the road.
Iveco Urbanway 12m
After you get to level 9, you will unlock the first CNG bus. It costs USD 330 000, but is much cheaper to maintain. It can transport more than 60 people and is therefore suitable for routes in the city center. Iveco Urbanway 12m is a bus that can serve you till the end of the game. It's efficient to move around the city and pick up a lot of passengers.
Iveco Urbanway 18m
The Iveco Urbanway 18m will be unlocked at level 18. It costs USD 550 000. It can hold 86 passengers, making it ideal for any route, especially during rush hours. This is a bus that can be used permanently after buying it. It is large and cheap to maintain. It is not worth buying another bus because they're smaller and more expensive.
