Bus Simulator 18 has a lot of advanced gameplay settings - Gameplay settings for Bus Simulator 18 - Game config - Bus Simulator 18 Game Guide

Bus Simulator 18 has a lot of advanced gameplay settings. You can adjust steering options, language or the interface. On this page you can learn more about the gameplay settings and their impact on the gameplay.

Interface

Enable minimap - you can set the minimap to be displayed only when you are driving your bus. You can also have it turned on all the time, even when you are walking outside or when you leave the bus.

Enable chat - chat window can be activated only during online session or throughout the entire game. However, this option is a hindrance in the single player mode.

Enable mirrors - mirrors can be visible not only when you are driving in first person mode. You can use this setting to be able to see what is happening behind your bus even when you are looking at its roof. However, this setting is useless in this camera setting - you clearly see what is happening around you.

Language

You can set the general language - the language in which all missions and the interface will be displayed. You can also set the language for passengers' dialogs. Those languages can be set independently, they don't have impact on each other.

Input mode

Steering with a mouse - remember that steering with a mouse makes you unable to sell and check tickets. This option allows you to control the entire vehicle with only a mouse without using any additional keys.

Turning view - the game increases field of view when you are near turns. The purpose of this function is to help you navigate with greater ease without looking around too much.

Settings

Brake's strength - set it to 1/5. A higher value makes your vehicle react faster when you press the brake button. Remember that cars behind you can hit your bus if you stop abruptly- this can result in a very high fine.

Range of the head motion - this option allows you to determine how much your character can look around. Higher numbers increase your range. This allows you to look around turns and crossroads.

Event Frequency

Events are random encounters that can happen on your route. These situations include passengers who drop garbage inside your bus, handicapped passengers or those who left something in your bus. You can set the frequency of each of these events to: low, medium and high. A higher value indicates that a given event will occur more frequently.
