This chapter of the Breathedge guide explains where to find a scanner blueprint that will allow you to unlock new crafting blueprints.

First, head for the wreckage just below the capsule. You'll see a balloon-like indicator above it.

The scanner is on the wall to the right of the door. Study it so you can get its blueprint and build it in the base.

To make a scanner, you need several, quite common components. The scanner has durability, but you will find another in containers in the second chapter, before you need to craft a new scanner.
