A Plague Tale Innocence: Supernatural elements - are there any A Plague Tale guide, walkthrough
Last update: 06 October 2022
This page answers whether A Plague Tale Innocence has any supernatural elements despite being set in XIV century France. This information can be useful for those who are looking for games that focus on realism.
The information below has huge story spoilers for later parts of the game. This is because we wanted to give a specific answer to the question from the chapter's title.
- A Plague Tale Innocence changes its premise slightly as the story progresses. The first few chapters don't have any supernatural elements. The heroes are defenseless in open confrontations. Their main enemies are Inquisitors who have to be avoided at all cost.
- However, as you progress, you will start to encounter more and more rats. You will notice that their behavior isn't completely natural. One of the more extreme examples are living towers made out of rats - they are deadly both to the heroes and other human opponents.
- In the last few chapters, the player learns that Hugo (the main heroine's brother) has supernatural abilities. His role in the story becomes more important - Hugo can command rats and, e.g. order them to attack someone. The boy's unique ability is also important in the final boss fight against the Grand Inquisitor.
