Last update: 06 October 2022
This page of A Plague Tale Innocence has information about the next-gen patch that adds 4K support and improves the graphics on PS5 and Xbox Series X. We also inform about the Switch version of A Plague Tale.
PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions
- A Plague Tale Innocence was initially released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Those who have a PS5 or Xbox Series S/X could play the game via backward compatibility feature.
- A Plague Tale has received a next-gen patch on July 6, 2021 - it is available for PlayStation 5, XSX and XSS. The patch if free.
- The next-gen patch makes A Plague Tale run in 4K resolution and 60 frames per second.
Nintendo Switch version
- Initially, A Plague Tale Innocence was released only on Microsoft's and Sony's consoles.
- The Switch version was released on July 6, 2021. However, it uses Cloud servers meaning that the game requires constant and fast Internet connection. Other games that use Cloud servers are, e.g. Control. This way of distribution was caused by the hardware limitations of Nintendo Switch - the console wouldn't be able to run the game smoothly and keep an acceptable graphics quality.
